Tour Itinerary

Day 1| Siem Reap Majestic Temples Tour

Your guide will pick you up at 8:00 AM from your hotel to begin your journey through the heart of the ancient Khmer Empire.

Start with a visit to the majestic Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious monument and a symbol of Cambodia. Next, explore Angkor Thom, the ancient royal city, where you’ll discover the enigmatic Bayon Temple, famous for its 200 smiling stone faces.

Finally, visit the atmospheric Ta Prohm, often called the jungle temple, where massive tree roots intertwine with centuries-old ruins, a site made famous by the film Tomb Raider.

After the tour, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.

Duration: Approximately 5–6 hours

Day 2| Kampong Phluk Floating Village & Journey to Koh Ker

At 7AM departure to Kampong Phluk Floating Village on Tonlé Sap Lake (about 30 minutes from Siem Reap). Take a boat tour through this unique village built on stilts, observing local life, floating homes, schools, markets, and fishing activities.

Learn about how the community adapts to seasonal water changes and experience their traditional lifestyle.

After fully immersing yourself in the charm of Kampong Phluk, the journey continues with a roughly three-hour drive to Koh Ker. This isolated temple complex was once the capital of the Khmer Empire. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the historic ruins and appreciate the fascinating architecture and history that make this site so special.

Later in the afternoon, you will take another journey to Preah Vihear. Upon arrival, you will check in to your hotel and have time to rest after a day filled with discovery.

You will spend the night in Preah Vihear at a hotel in Saem Distric, preparing for the next leg of your adventure.

Day 3| Preah Vihear Temple Adventure

After breakfast at your hotel, embark on an adventure to Preah Vihear Temple. Hop into the truck and head up the mountain to explore this ancient temple, famous for its stunning architecture and breathtaking panoramic views from the top.

Following this adventurous tour, you will continue your journey to Kratie Province, which takes approximately 3 hours. Last but not least, we will catch a glimpse of the stunning Sopheakmit Waterfall, also known as Preah Nimit Waterfall.

Upon arrival, you will take a ferry across the Mekong River to Koh Trong Island. Once on the island, you will check in to your homestay and spend the night there, enjoying the peaceful island atmosphere.

Day 4| Witness the Irrawaddy Dolphin and Explore Koh Trong Island

In the morning, after breakfast, your guide will take you to Kratie Town and head along the river for an unforgettable experience. You’ll hop into a boat and quietly wait as the rare Irrawaddy dolphins emerge from the water’s surface. It’s a peaceful and magical moment, perfect for taking photos and learning how these endangered dolphins have adapted to life in the Mekong River.

After this exciting tour, you’ll continue to another cultural highlight: the 100-Column Pagoda. Here, your guide will share fascinating local legends and the historical significance of the site.

You might be interested in enjoying a picnic lunch at Kampi River, a popular local gathering spot. It’s especially lively on weekends, offering a great chance to mingle with the locals and enjoy authentic Cambodian picnic culture.

In the afternoon, you’ll return to your homestay to relax before heading out again for a charming oxcart ride around the island at sunset. This is a great opportunity to connect with local life and soak in the tranquil countryside. Don’t forget to pick up some of the island’s famous pomelos, often sold along the route.

After the ride, you’ll return to your homestay. Enjoy a home-cooked dinner, and then wind down for the evening, whether that’s relaxing or chatting with your homestay hosts to learn more about island life.

Day 5| Journey to Kampong Cham

In the morning at 8:00 AM, you will begin another journey, this time to Kampong Cham Province. The drive will take you through scenic countryside, offering a glimpse of rural Cambodian life along the way.

Upon arrival, your first stop will be the ancient site of Nokor Bachey, a 12th-century temple built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. Explore its historic structures and intricate carvings while learning about its significance from your guide.

Next, you’ll visit the legendary twin hills of Phnom Bros and Phnom Srei, which date back to the Funan Era. Your guide will share the fascinating local legends and historical context that make this site culturally important.

As the day comes to an end, you’ll head into Kampong Cham town and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay in the province.

Day 6| Trip to the Capital City

It’s time for another journey, this time to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. The drive will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Along the way, you’ll stop at the famous Skun Market, known for its unusual local snacks. Here, you can enjoy lunch or, if you’re feeling adventurous, try a deep-fried insect, a local delicacy!

Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, you’ll begin a city tour covering some of the most important historical and cultural landmarks. First, visit the sobering Choeung Ek Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21) to learn about Cambodia’s tragic past under the Khmer Rouge regime. Then, continue to the Royal Palace complex, an architectural gem and home to the Silver Pagoda.

After this long and meaningful day, check in to your hotel for an overnight stay in Phnom Penh. In the evening, if you still have energy, you might want to explore the lively Phnom Penh Night Market, a great place for street food, shopping, and local entertainment or join the locals for a sunset boat cruise on the Mekong River.

Day 7| Phnom Penh Departure

In the morning or afternoon, depending on your flight schedule, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport for your onward journey.
