Founded by Samatoa, a sustainable fashion initiative established in 2003, the farm blends tradition, innovation, and social impact. Its mission is twofold: to preserve a delicate Cambodian heritage craft and to provide meaningful employment for vulnerable women.

Visitor Experience

A visit to the Lotus Silk Farm offers an immersive look at the entire journey of lotus silk. Visitors begin by watching artisans harvest lotus stems from tranquil ponds, carefully selecting each stalk. From there, the fibers are painstakingly extracted – a meticulous process that requires thousands of stems to produce a single scarf.

Inside the weaving workshops, skilled women artisans transform these fragile fibers into elegant fabrics with a natural, subtle sheen. For those seeking a deeper connection, workshops allow guests to try their hand at fiber extraction or weaving, creating a hands-on memory beyond a typical souvenir.

Cultural and Sustainable Significance
