Day 1: Siem Reap – Angkor Wat full day tour

Pick up from your hotel in Siem Reap at 8:00 AM (optional sunrise start available), then head to Angkor National Park for a full day of discovery. Start at Angkor Thom, the vast fortified city spanning 10 square kilometers. Enter through the monumental South Gate, lined with statues of gods and demons carrying a giant Naga serpent.

Continue to Bayon Temple, renowned for its serene stone faces, before visiting the Terrace of the Elephants, once used by the Khmer kings for royal ceremonies. Then explore Ta Prohm, the evocative jungle temple left largely embraced by massive tree roots.

In the afternoon, visit the majestic Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Wander through its grand galleries and admire the intricate bas-reliefs depicting scenes from Hindu mythology.

After a day filled with history and wonder, return to your hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Siem Reap – Phnom Kulen Waterfall and Banteay Srei temple

Pick up from your hotel at 8:00 AM and drive 50 km northeast of Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen Mountain, a sacred site regarded as the birthplace of the Khmer Empire. Ascend the mountain via a steep dirt road, enjoying impressive views along the way.

Visit the ancient riverbed carvings of the 1000 Lingas, then climb to a hilltop pagoda set among giant rocks, home to Cambodia’s largest reclining Buddha carved directly into the stone. Enjoy panoramic views before cooling off with a refreshing swim in the nearby natural pools, bring your swimsuit!

In the afternoon, continue to Banteay Srei, the beautifully preserved 10th-century temple known for its intricate pink sandstone carvings and celebrated as the “jewel of classical Khmer art.”

Day 3: Siem Reap – Floating Village of Kampong Kleang and Rolous Group

Pick up at 8:00 AM for a visit to the fishermen’s village of Kampong Kleang on Tonle Sap Lake. In the dry season (February–August), the village is reached by car or motorbike; from September onward, you’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride to the stilted and floating homes, pagodas, and the local school.

Discover the daily life of this vibrant lakeside community before boarding a traditional boat to cruise the vast Tonle Sap Lake.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (own expense). In the afternoon, continue to the Roluos Group, the ancient capital of Hariharalaya. Explore Bakong, Lolei, and Preah Ko, some of the earliest permanent Khmer temples, built in the late 9th century using brick, laterite, and sandstone, showcasing the beginnings of classical Khmer architecture.
