Day 1: Preah Vihear and Koh Ker Excursion
Your guide will pick you up at 7:00 AM for a three-hour drive off the beaten track to Preah Vihear, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Built and modified by successive Khmer kings, the temple features a unique north–south layout stretching 800 meters along the Dangrek Mountains. Perched at 625 meters on the Thai border, it offers breathtaking views over the Cambodian plains.
After exploring the mountaintop sanctuary, continue to Koh Ker, the former Khmer capital (928–944 A.D.). Unlike other Cambodian temples, Koh Ker’s pyramid-like structure rises dramatically above the forest, creating a mysterious and atmospheric setting.
Return to Siem Reap in the late afternoon, with the opportunity to enjoy countryside views and a beautiful sunset along the way.
Duration Approximately 7-8 hours
Day 2: Angkor Wat and The Citadel of Women (Banteay Srei)
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Angkor Ticket Office to purchase your Angkor Pass. Begin your day at Angkor Wat, one of Southeast Asia’s best-preserved temples and a true Wonder of the World. Explore its grand towers, intricate carvings, and remarkable symmetry.
Continue to Angkor Thom, entering through the impressive South Gate lined with statues of gods and demons holding a giant Naga, symbolizing the “Churning of the Sea of Milk.” Visit the iconic Bayon Temple, famous for its serene smiling faces, then walk through the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Next, explore Ta Prohm, where giant tree roots dramatically embrace the ruins, creating one of Angkor’s most unforgettable scenes.
In the afternoon, travel to Banteay Srei, a beautifully preserved 10th-century Hindu temple celebrated for its delicate pink sandstone carvings and regarded as a jewel of classical Khmer art.
Approximately 6-7 hours
Day 3: The Vibrant Floating Village of Kampong Phluk
