Prey Veng Attractions
Prey Veng Province, home to 1.3 million people, is Cambodia’s most densely populated province and ranks third in population size. Largely agricultural and industrial, it remains off the typical tourist trail, attracting mainly passing travelers, football enthusiasts, and NGO workers.
Situated on the east bank of the Mekong River, Prey Veng is a quiet province, though National Highway No. 1, linking Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City runs through it, making it easily accessible.
The provincial town features colonial-era buildings reflecting its historical importance, alongside several temples and local attractions. Notable sites include Chong Srok Temple, Viel Brang, Ba Ray An Det Resort, and Ba Phnom Resort, offering visitors a glimpse into rural Cambodian life and heritage.
