Learn why the site serves as a place of pilgrimage to both Hindus and Buddhists by visiting the temple of the Reclining Buddha, the River of 1000 Lingas and the Phnom Kulen Waterfalls.

After witness Phnom Kulen, put yourself into a serenity of nature at Beng Melea temple which is partially overrun by vegetation. Resemblance to Angkor Wat style, Beng Mealea believed to be built by the same king, Suryavarman II (1113-1150 A.D).

Tour Highlights

Kulen Mountain Highlights – Sacred Sites & Natural Beauty

Discover the sacred River of a Thousand Lingas, where ancient Hindu carvings are etched into the riverbed, once believed to purify the waters flowing to the kingdom’s rice fields.

End your visit at the stunning Kulen Waterfalls, a favorite spot to swim and relax in the cool natural pool surrounded by forest, perfect for a refreshing break during your adventure.

Tour Highlights

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Siem Reap – Beng Mealea – Koh Ker - Preah Vihear

Begin your journey at 7:00 AM with hotel pickup by your professional guide and driver, heading out on a full-day adventure through the rural hinterlands of northern Cambodia. Your first stop is the spectacular, lesser-visited Beng Mealea Temple, built by King Suryavarman II (1113–1150 AD).

Believed to be a prototype for Angkor Wat, this sprawling complex offers a hauntingly beautiful scene of crumbling walls, collapsed corridors, and jungle-covered stones. With minimal carvings, Beng Mealea has a raw, untouched charm.

Continue deeper into the countryside to Koh Ker, the former Khmer Empire capital from 928 to 944 AD. Dominated by its striking 7-tiered pyramid, Koh Ker feels more reminiscent of ancient Mesoamerica than Cambodia. Surrounded by dense forest and far from mass tourism, it offers a peaceful, mystical atmosphere unlike anywhere else.

In the late afternoon, drive to Saem District, located near Preah Vihear Temple, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 2: Preah Vihear Mountain Temple – Siem Reap City

Perched atop the Dangrek Mountains at 625 meters, this temple-mountain dedicated to Shiva offers dramatic views over the Cambodian plains.

Unique in its north–south layout, Preah Vihear stretches over 800 meters and features a series of sanctuaries connected by long galleries, reflecting the work of several Khmer kings. The sweeping panorama from the summit is truly unforgettable.

After exploring the site, descend the mountain and begin your return drive to Siem Reap, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, marking the end of your 2-day cultural journey.
